The Book

Circumstances in life often take us places that we never intend to go. In 2010 I was sentenced to two and a half years in the Essex County Jail in Massachusetts for a car accident that wasn’t anyone’s fault. This is the memoir of my survival during those harrowing months behind the walls of the big house told in my words and artwork. All the artwork included in the book I created in my jail cell.

I’m an average guy, never arrested. Finding my way alone in this dangerous and strange world challenged me from the start. I recorded my experience in a cartoon journal and made artwork to send to family and friends as a way of hanging on to my sanity. It’s an intimate look at prison life told through the eyes of an artist. I tried to show an accurate illustration the of the world I now haunted, to show the absurdity of it all, to show how inmates are treated and make people laugh a little along the way.

Right now I'm trying to get it published. I'll keep ya posted on my progress.
